This is my Family Now

While visiting at one of the cottages on campus, I happened in on a conversation with 5 of our teen girls and their house parent. Since I regularly get to spend time with the children, they were open to my joining in. They were discussing their frustration with outsiders’ views of who they are. One girl said, “This is not an orphanage; we are not orphans. We have parents.” Another said, “That’s right. We have parents, but cannot live with them.” Looking around she said, “This is my family now.” Some of the girls became teary-eyed and began hugging one another. Thanks go to supporters, like you, who allow these precious, displaced children to have a family at Calvary Home for as long as needed.
