Earlier this week a precious lady in the community dropped off fresh fruit for each of the foster homes. When two brothers rounded the corner and saw the fresh fruit (including a delicious looking pineapple) on the counter the foster parents overhead the following conversation.
Sam: "It's huge!"
Jake: "That's the biggest pinecone I have ever seen!"
Although both boys have experienced fresh pineapple at Calvary Home before, neither one had ever seen one before it was cut. The brothers, who are in elementary school, both thought the pineapple was a giant pinecone! Of course, the foster dad gently corrected them, and Sam and Jake were equally pleased to learn that there was fresh pineapple in the house.
Thank you so much to our partners in the community who provide fresh fruit and life lessons!
