Hunting enthusiasts from around the region come together to take their aim at 1200 pheasants in support of an incredible cause.

For the last 17 years, Calvary Home for Children has hosted this exciting event! Year after year, more hunting enthusiasts from around the region come together in support of an incredible organization that changes the lives of children every day.

1200 pheasants are imported from North Carolina for this event and we'll have bird dogs and bird cleaners on site to help collect and prepare the birds for you to take home. A BBQ lunch will be served for all shooters and volunteers at noon.

FAQs

What should I bring?

  • Bring your own firearm and shells

  • Shooters are expected to wear their safety orange

  • Shells will be available for purchase

Do I need a hunting license?

Nope! Shooters are not required to have a license, but all participants must be 16 or older and agree to the terms and conditions on the order form.

When should I arrive?

Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your shoot begins. We’ll go through an orientation before heading to the towers and everyone must be present for the orientation.

If you are participating in the 1:30pm shoot, please note that lunch is served at noon. You are welcome to arrive anytime between 12 and 1:30 to enjoy the BBQ lunch provided.

I am a Duke Energy employee and paid through Benevity. Did you get my payment?

That’s complicated! Yes and no. It takes several months for your payment to get to us, so if you paid for this event through Benevity, you’ll need to email us a payment confirmation OR bring a print out of the receipt to the event. This is the first time we’ve asked shooters to do this, but it will be incredibly helpful as we continue to grow this event!
